A-Frame Retreat is designed as a compact weekend home that maximizes volume within a simple structural form. The steep roof geometry sheds weather efficiently while creating a dramatic double-height social space facing the landscape.
Elevated decking extends the living zone outdoors and minimizes disturbance to the site. A restrained material palette of dark roofing, warm timber, and broad glass surfaces gives the retreat a clear identity in the forest setting.
Full-height facade glazing captures daylight and frames the tree line.
Iconic form
The triangular profile creates a memorable silhouette while supporting efficient internal zoning across two levels. Open lower-floor living areas connect directly to the terrace and surrounding landscape.
